SYNOPSIS: Set in the time thirty years before “Star Wars” (The Wars, “1977),” The Phantom Menace “reveals Darth Vader’s childhood, the past of Obi-Wan Kenobi and the resurgence of Sith, Jedi knights dominated by the dark side. The Trade Federation has blockaded the small planet of Naboo, ruled by the young queen Amidala, as part of a plan devised by Darth Sidious, who remain anonymous Neimoidians directs, in command of the Federation. Amidala is convinced by the Jedi Qui-Gon Jinn and his apprentice, or padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi travel to Coruscant, capital of the Republic and the Jedi Council’s headquarters to try to mediate this threat. But avoiding the blockade, the real ship is damaged, forcing the crew to land in the remote desert planet of Tatooine.
