While many have expectations about the year that begins on world cinema, Harry Potter seems to be the film that will steal the attention in 2011, it not only marks the end of his story on the big screen but the closure of a fever accompanied us throughout the decade.
When it opens in the summer of 2011, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II”, have been 10 years since the boy wizard made the big leap into theaters with a movie based, like the entire series, homonyms books written by British author JK Rowlling.
That first title was “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” movie that was followed by “The Chamber of Secrets” (2002), “The Prisoner of Azkaban” (2004), “The Goblet of Fire” (2005), “The Order of the Phoenix” (2007),” The Half-Blood Prince” (2008) and ” The Deathly Hallows: Part I” (2010).
During this decade, fans of the series not only did they grow up Harry Potter and his friends, but also actors like Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.
For their part, producers and directors of all the Harry Potter managed to historical revenue because, without having released the latest movie, box office sales already exceed 6,200 million dollars. This does not include money received by use of the image, alluding to the film products and DVD sales, among others.
Moreover, other films that will undoubtedly capture the attention of moviegoers in the world are the second installment of the animated movies “Cars” and “Kung Fu Panda”, a new sequel to “Pirates of the Caribbean”, the fourth feature the series “Twilight”, plus “Hangover 2″ and the sequels to “Mission: Impossible” and “Transformers” among others.
