Do you remember a few weeks ago I told you that the film adaptation of video game Uncharted had a new manager? As there are new, though it were coming from afar.
I’ll give you a brief bit of background. It is the director of the film is titled Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, was to be David O. Russell (The Fighter), and had convinced his good friend Mark Wahlberg to make the protagonist. Not anymore. Read on to learn why.
As we told you at the entrance to a couple of weeks, O. Russell dropped the project due to disagreements with the producer, and the new director who is entrusted with the project is Neil Burger. And here comes the problem. Wahlberg had accepted the lead role when the plan was to be directed by his friend David O. Russell, with whom he had worked before with good results, but all suspected he was going to back down when he learned that he had to work with another director.
And so it was finally. We’re not sure (because you know these things never said anything official) it was Wahlberg who has not wanted to work with Neil Burger or was this one who decided he did not like Mark Wahlberg starring as much as his predecessor. Anyway, Uncharted again requires protagonist. Do you have a candidate?
