The trailer Pixar’s “Brave”, gives us a quick glance at a different kind of a fairy tale of a princess – who has skills with a bow and arrow. With Cars 2 in Billboard theaters this work of Disney/Pixar recreates a fantasy adventure produced from the culture and traditions of old Scotland.
Brave and Bold is in the mystical Scottish highlands, where Merida is the princess of a kingdom ruled by King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and the Queen Elinor(Emma Thompson). A rebellious daughter and accomplished archer, Mérida one day challenge the sacred custom of the land and inadvertently brings chaos to the kingdom.
In an attempt to fix things, Merida for an eccentric crone (Julie Walters) and is granted wish gone wrong. Also thinking about the search for Merida – and serve as comic relief – is the kingdom of the three gentlemen, the great Lord MacGuffin (KevinMcKidd), the surly Mr. Macintosh (Craig Ferguson), and the nasty Lord Dingwall(Robbie Coltrane).
That is a vague description, of course, but if you need some clarification: the young protagonist inadvertently causes a problem, then you should set a quest to make things right.
In carrying out its mission, which also happens to learn about herself and correct the internal confusion. A long look at the title should at least give a clue about what is internal conflict and what kind of issues this film will explore. The premiere of Brave predicted for June 22, 2012.
